Franco Moschino first introduced his Cheap & Chic line in 1988 after already earning a reputation for whimsey and innovation. Cheap & Chic was a secondary line, oftentimes used dead stock and fabric from previous collections. Moschino’s parody aesthetic oftentimes lead him to bring a humorous voice to the high fashion industry. Poking fun at the price tags of luxury houses, his Cheap & Chic line was one of the first to provide accessibility in RTW.
